Great Expectations

Matthew 6:1-5 :Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

The number 6 represents Man (God made Man on the 6th day). The system of Man is coming to full maturity this hour is represented by the number 666.

The chapter 6 in the Book of Matthew gives us a guide on escaping the system. We are called to rectify our Man’s value system.

I have seen many unbelievers come to know God through a Divine Intervention in their lives. Most of the time, God delivers them from a matrix of unsolvable problems through Divine Intervention. God’s Devine Intervention in freeing them from their unsolvable problem, be it financial, social or health related triggered a lifetime of dedication of God.

The Israelites received their freedom as slaves of the Pharoah through Divine Intervention. Yet, they build a golden calf to worship God right after walking through the parted Red Sea. Sometimes I wonder, what did the Israelite’s say to each other after donating their gold to build the golden calf? Did they expect a higher reward in heaven? Equivalently, many well intentioned missionaries are openly boasting over the resources (gold) that they have donated to their temporal man made organizations.
